After a storm or a hot summer, our lawn might be damaged. The best we can do in this case is to try to repair it.
For people who invest more time in their lawn and have more experience with it, this may seem like an easy task, but for others, it might be overwhelming.
Lawn Care
If you have never invested much time on your lawn and you would like to start, you might not know where to start. Here is a list of things that can get you started:
- Mow regularly. Mowing is something that people at times overdo. The lawn should not be mowed too short. Otherwise, the grass will be prone to dry out faster.
- Fertilizing. It is recommended to fertilize the lawn every two months to four times a year.
- Aerating. Doing this will allow the hard soil to soften which will promote the deep penetration of water, air and fertilizer.
- Thatching. It is recommended to thatch your lawn every three years, especially if it’s cool weather grass.
It’s never too late to start caring for your lawn. The worse that can happen is that you have to replace it.
